Perhaps the video is more flattering, but based on the still vevo is showing, one could be forgiven for thinking the video encourages male-goblin pairings.

Re: On the modern electric guitar

After making a more dedicated effort to practice in rocksmith, I came to two conclusions: 1. Although the '64 Teisco Del Rey I got for super cheap has working electronics, complete original badging, and stays in tune, the intonation is trash. Fixing it would require taking it to someone to adjust th...

Not one word, but a phrase: "baby bump". What are we, five years old?
It's perfectly descriptive and unambiguous. What's the alternative?

I was going to brag that I haven't seen a single film nominated for anything, but I have seen most of Buster Scruggs. So much for a perfect score.

It could be a bad (but not quite toast) battery, too. A coworker had similar intermittent electrical system problems caused by one.

That statement sounds like the usual "let disinterested technocrats run your life and everything will be great." Add in some pro-social justice language and some "what's so great about liberty anyway?" and I think I'll pass.

Is she really that young? *googles* huh. I did not realize that. That's like saying "I never realized Kim Kardahsian had a big round butt". I don't know what Kim Kardashian looks like. Yes, you do. By osmosis. Think about what every hot, trendy woman is trying to look like. Her copycats are legion.

Mittens is turning 72 this year, so him planning on a 2024 run would be quite optimistic.

I'd say odds are good that Flake will make a primary challenge in 2020.

Re: How do you solve a problem like a MAGA?

I think the requirement of 2/3 of the Senate to convict and remove addresses the worry about upsetting electoral outcomes. If the prez has lost 2/3 of the Senate, that's a strong indicator of having lost popular mandate in a big way. I think a grand jury indicting an orange ham sandwich creates much...

Re: The son of "What the hell are YOU staring at?"

Watched a bunch of bad movies with a friend yesterday. By watching all these movies, I think I quintupled my 2018 movie watching. 1. Bloodsport. Somehow I had never seen this one. I really appreciate 1980s action movies like this that can get everything done in 90 minutes. It also seemed like The Go...

Re: The Road to Damascus

Abandoning the American-backed Kurdish allies, Pentagon officials have argued, will hamper future efforts by the United States to gain the trust of local fighters, from Afghanistan to Yemen to Somalia. If Trump orders a rapid withdrawal from those places (and Iraq), then he should get Obama's peace...

If you only look for certain, reasonably well-known things, you don't tend to run across the phenomenon too much, but it's definitely there. This is a good description of it. If there's a certain item/brand I'm looking for, it's never been an issue. Trying to find a basic mp3 player (I don't like u...

Uh didn't SCOTUS already decide the penaltax is constitutional? Is there any reason they would actually review this case?
There was a moment where I wondered whether the last 7 years had been a weird dream and we were back to 2011 and arguing about the individual mandate.
