Re: Music for the Masses

Cracker/Camper von Beethoven are playing a small venue next Saturday. For whatever reason, I didn't see them in 2013 when they played that same venue. I might have to fix that.

the floor for reapers and ghost peppers is already pretty high, and the ceilings are astronomical. and there's no way to guess how hot it's going to be until you cook with it.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.

Re: Food

Has anyone done any cooking with the ultra-hot peppers? The local Sprouts now has little packs of ghost peppers, Carolina reapers, and a mixed pack (those two plus scorpion peppers and a few others). They are fresh and not dried. When I make chili in my 5 quart crockpot, I use 6-8 serranos and 6-8 h...

Re: Elizabeth Warren's "Accountable Capitalism Act"

I'm not sure any company guilty of enough crimes to warrant possible dissolution can be said to be well-run. Profitable, perhaps, but well-run usually implied a certain amount of concern for legalities. That's an incredibly subjective criteria. Would you trust someone like Trump to make that distin...

That's one possibility. Another might be that OBL was a CIA operative, 9/11 was an inside job, and he's now managing a Holiday Inn outside of Akron.
Omaha, not Akron. It's next door the Cinnabon where Saul is.

If religious cake guy is responsible for baking a cake for whoever enters the door, Alex Jones ought to sue Facebook and the other tech companies in Colorado for excluding him from their services.

It sure is a shame there's only one cake baker in Colorado and everyone has to buy cakes from him or starve.

I wish I could do unpleasant things to the team that designed the "safety" features in the Subaru Legacy. It is not possible to drive in traffic without all sorts of warning lights, incessant beeps, and the occasional braking from the car. I was a more dangerous driver than in my regular vehicle sin...

Well that's just crap, as I'm anticipating being in the market for a new-to-me car in the next couple of years, and have always been a fan of used.
Also, the used market for trucks/Jeep Wranglers is particularly screwed up where I am. Your location might not be as bad, especially for cars.

Re: Music for the Masses

I've been convinced that this song was from Twin Peaks: The Return (that's meant as praise). I would've bet money on it. It is apparently not, but given the other crap I have to listen to in yoga, this one is an excellent departure from the norm.

The dealership where I get service done on my pickup and the dealership where I bought it have both contacted me multiple times to see if I want to sell my truck. Re: the list of those things which are not food

Based on the discussion in some other thread, I tried a chocolate moon pie after my hike today. Like more than a few junk food items, I'm baffled how it can have so much fat and sugar and yet taste like... nothing. Even cardboard might have more taste. If I'm going to have some junk food, I'll grab ...

I'm sure pride of accomplishment is a dumb psychology trick, but that doesn't change the reality that it feels more satisfying than wallowing in my own crapulence.
