Re: And Lo, It Was Declared that Stuff Was Good

The yellow 'Yota fell through (the kid let me drive 1.5 hrs before telling me he sold it that morning. Dick. ) but I got a sweet '96 T100 4x4. Pictures will follow. Also, working on "blueprints" of the soon-to-be-built smithy and some ideas for products. I've been drawing throwback perforated copper...

I'm driving down today to take a look-see. I'd be psyched to build a custom wood bed for

Re: Going to Costa Rica

We made it back to Boston just fine last night. Waiting at our friends apt. for K's dad to come pick us up to go back to NH. Customs was a breeze, despite Houston/G.W.Bush's reputation as the worst place to clear customs into the US. Tired and shocked by the cold, but happy to be home. Mostly ...

Re: Supporting assholes, it's a libertarian thing

The significance of fighting words is an inverse proxy for how pluralistic society is on the ground. There are fighting words because people are small minded and retarded. The more of that there is, the more you feel like you have to legislate restrictions on speech to maintain public order. N-love...

I'm really glad that you guys are enjoying my posts. It's nice to still be in touch with my brethren across the world. I like that I can share while I'm jaunting around. Just wait until we get home! PHOTOS! We have > 1100 on an SD card as of today. Besides FB, (which I'm loathe to use for Photos) wh...

We are waiting for a bus to take us to San Jose this AM. It's been pouring rain at max volume with bursts of calm since last night, but it's been like that each night hier since we arrived. The Caribbean side is wet! Puerto Viejo de Talamanca has been a blast! We met some great people, some shady pe...

I agree with DA. Also it would seem to be a benefit to be able to contract with someone for a short period after which the contract could lapse or be renewed. Hey it works in Sci-fi amirite?

Damn I'm gonna try new links. The mobile versions of flickr and google might be breaking the tubes around here. Dangerman, I'm in Manchester... If you're out in the Seacoast area, I'll be at UNH with Gary Johnson tonight at the Memorial Union Buliding room 336 - feel free to stop by! RC will be easy to pick out. He'll be the guy with a sword. It's going to be embarrassing if we show up wearing the same thing...

Re: Wisconsin Death (of public unions) Trip

I feel much better about unions when they aren't mandatory for employment. I agree with the statement that voluntary unions promote real freedom and could be a reasonable counterweight to employers, but legally forcing new employees to pay dues etc. is asking for abuse and corruption.

Considering how much has been made of US support for Egypt, it would be a horrible joke for US trained and equipped soldiers to be fighting on both sides of a new war there. For this reason alone, I sincerely hope that US would step in, even if I find more meddling to be awful. What, so we can have...
