Re: Occam, Trump, and Russia

Wayne LaPierre may or may not be a better executive than Ollie North (depends on a lot of information I don't have), but in terms of alienating large chunks of America I think that LaPierre held his own. Thing is, alienating much of America doesn't hurt the NRA when they long ago decided on a strate...

Maria Butina's boyfriend/Mark was a spokesperson for John Wayne Bobbitt.

Re: Occam, Trump, and Russia

It's interesting that the intelligence community is willing to leak the fact that the information came from somebody close to Putin. That fact hadn't previously leaked. Presumably the leak came now because the source is either dead or in hiding. And given the number of high-level Russian diplomats ...

Re: Occam, Trump, and Russia

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/18/world/europe/trump-intelligence-russian-election-meddling-.html In July 2017, just after meeting Mr. Putin for the first time, Mr. Trump told a New York Times reporter that the Russian president had made a persuasive case that Moscow’s cyberskills were so good that...

In what kind of scandal does the guy have sex with the young redhead before he will agree to ACCEPT $30 million in political donations?

Last I heard, WeWork wasn't profitable, and had a higher valuation per square foot of office space than other companies renting out office space.

But who needs profits when you can create buzz and distraction?

Re: Orange is the new President

If we are to have any hope of getting rid of Trump, we have to refrain from criticizing Pence or asking any questions about whether he knew anything about the insane mob family that he partnered with.

For now.

Once he's President we can give him hell. But for now, he is beyond reproach.

For now.

Re: Orange is the new President

Maybe it's just because I already hated Trump so much, but I am a little baffled by all the outrage over his comments. Like, yeah, he's a bloated flaccid windbag who cares only for himself. He doesn't believe in justice or truth or democracy or America or anything like that. He only cares about him...

Saw Sorry To Bother You last night. It was fucking amazing. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the trailers, other than it would be weird, but I can only describe it as "urban sci-fi horror comedy". It doesn't have quite the filmmaking artistry of Hereditary , but it does a great job of storyt...

Maria Butina may have met with Trump at the 2015 NRA convention.

And apparently Trump has had interactions with Alexander Torshin.

Re: Orange is the new President

As far as crimes, I doubt that sucking Putin's cock is a crime. I wouldn't be shocked, however, if he was a knowing participant in campaign finance shenanigans with Russian donors. And he's almost certainly laundered money for Russians. Impeach for collusion with a foreign dictator, obstruction of j...

This risks turning into a game of "But if they know that I know that they..." He favors Putin over his own Cabinet, or anyone else not named Ivanka. He knows that Putin helped him. He knows that people in his campaign were working with or seeking help from Russian agents. At some point the obvious p...

Just pathetic excuse-making for Trump this morning. Even though he says he agrees that the Russians did try to meddle! But they were just revealing “uncomfortable truths” about Hillary, so they’re really the heroes of this story, and we meddle in elections all the time so it’s not really a big deal...
