You are super weird about this t. He IS a troll. He may be other things but he in his bones at least a troll. The straightest line here by far is trolling, and you acting like that requires some extra burden is goofy.

Re: Home $weet Home

Someday we'll get off our ass and do it too. We may have to pay nearly twice as much for land as we were planning, as it turns out we are both slightly less flexible in location and associated internet quality etc than we first assumed, and land within that range / zone is pretty expensive for aroun...

Re: Orange is the new President

I'm not sure why we all want use of military force to be an easy and quick policy option for everyone. It's certainly not a good thing when we do it. It had better be at least as quick and easy as it is for the people knocking on your door. Other views are simply naive. This is how WWI started. Rig...

Re: Orange is the new President

I will say I find the "we are paying for our own defense by making the field safe over there!" a bit exasperating. At some level of cost and readiness difference between us and the people who own that back yard - you just can't make that argument anymore. It is entirely inconsistent to say we need t...

I’ve always been a choco donettes guy. Had flirtations with star crunch and hohos, but the lil hockey pucks always seem to work when I’m feeling snack cakey. They are great dunked in Irish or bourbon cream too for the record. Entenmanns are the best expression of this of course.

The English talking about The Cup is Coming Home is hilarious though. I think they've only won once on a goal that wouldn't survive review today. As someone put it "it's like the Jets talking about Lombardi coming home".

WTF white people. That's so gross. Makes me want to pull a Rachel Dolezal just to get out of the group. You have to be careful about the inference here though. I think this means (did not rtfa closely) "IF someone strongly agrees that police should strike citizens, that person is with high probabil...

I associate moon pies with going camping or to a cabin somewhere. Like you have your cheap alcohol, some d&d stuff ready and you stop at the gas station and why not moon pie + Ale 8 One. You float around the lake, get out the d&d stuff and feel the excitement followed by immediate regret of the ale ...

Re: What's New at the Bijou?

I have decreasing tolerance for that kind of thing - like the entire oeuvre of Cormac McCarthy. I feel media-squeezed at times - i'm crunched between completely trivial stuff, which is fun but not an every day food for me, and "serious" fare which tends to have this feature. The prestige series have...

I kinda wish my wife would drink more. She's on the side of the curve where it would be an improvement to her overall health I think. She's tightly wound and unforgiving of herself and doesn't cut loose as much as she should imo.

Listened to Ready Player One on audible while moving the in laws in Jersey. Er. Hmm. There's an okay caper story in there, but FFS the navel gazing is probably worse than Scott Pilgrim, which ... wow.
