They just look so pleased with themselves on every damn syncopation you'd think they invented the concept.

And now I have the urge to play some nintendo.

Re: Petty annoyances

Even offshore contract call center people are like "I wonder if that subsistence farming gig is still available?" I could never get over the cognitive disconnect back in the day. In the 90s the narrative was "call center jobs are TERRIBLE. They're just THE WORST. If you ever get a job at one you'll...

Finished up the ham we had in the freezer from our half-pig. Reminded again ham doesn't have to be a bland fluffy meat-marshmallow. It *can* be delicious and meaty.

I am trying to enjoy this Seattle-Kansas City ballgame but a) Kansas City's coach looks too much like my high school football coach and b) every time I see this logo as NFL sponsors my soul dies a little:

I remember growing up Ester was always seen as an old lady name, and yep after 1970 it disappears.
Yeah my grandmother had an old fashioned name that disappeared so no one has heard of it... Adele.

Ok, this is super embarrassing, but we have a cut of meat we have completely forgotten what it is, or even which kind of animal its from because we've bought both beef and pork for the freezer. Unlike all the other cuts, the butcher wrap in in paper with the part name stamped on it. I know its a lon...

Grilled a ribeye steak and had it with a spinach salad and Templeton Rye and refreshing mexican-style lager. Wife is out of town so I finally had a chance to properly binge Rick and Morty season 3 that showed up on Hulu a while ago.

Free State of Jones is probably the most libertarian movie I've ever seen, and not just because it's structurally kind of a mess. I watched that a while back in a double bill with No God No Master. Free State of Jones was the far superior movie; the politics in No God No Master seemed like a series...

I think we might have finally reached pre-checkception. Over time I've noticed the lines getting longer and longer and flying today the TSA pre-check line was longer than the regular line. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted and at least you avoid the porno-scanner.

It would be amusing if it weren't so pathetic, how TurboTax sends it's return numbers spinning up and down only to land on the same numbers before the spin, just so the consumer thinks the software is "working" to get you the biggest refund.
