Re: Orange is the new President

I've given up being amazed by Trump's utter pettiness, but continue to be amazed by how he doesn't even have enough self-awareness to try to hide it.

Re: Orange is the new President

Trump is an "absolute no" on statehood for Puerto Rico, because he doesn't like the mayor of San Juan.

Re: The son of "What the hell are YOU staring at?"

I did not know that last decade, someone made a movie out of "A Sound of Thunder," starring Ben Kingsley as the corrupt head of Time Safari Inc. Watched it last night -- holy crap, it was terrible . They kept the original premise of "company sends people back in time to kill dinosaurs just before th...

(This is why "negging" has such a bad reputation. The idea as originally formulated is pretty decent and reasonable.

I just don't know what to say to that, Jadagul.

Re: Masculinity, so fragile

Oh, this is funny: I estimate that if a girl has over 500 followers on Instagram, she is so used to attention from throngs of men that the love of one man cannot possibly satisfy her. We must also throw in the growing “travel blogger” lifestyle where, instead of using only her body to get attention,...

Re: Masculinity, so fragile

For all the jokes I've seen about wanting to "hate-fuck" somebody, in all seriousness: it must really suck to only be sexually attracted to people for whom you feel nothing but contempt, if not worse emotions. Were they not such reprehensible people, I'd actually feel sorry for them.

Re: I just don't get it

I remember watching some documentary -- either "Life After People" or a knockoff thereof -- talking about what would happen to the earth if every human vanished right now ( without a nuclear war or any other earth-damaging causes). At one point, the documentary said something to the effect of how, o...

Re: Putin on the Writs

My understanding is that voting machines are not connected to the internet (or each other), so even when the machines themselves are easily exploited, you have to physically go to the polls to hack them, and also go around to a bunch of them to make any significant difference. Not impossible, but a...

Re: Twitter!

Wasn't there a verse or two in the Song of Solomon which, though hyper-poetic, was clearly describing the man's gorgeous penis? I know the "my head is full of dew" verse is understood to be a reference to pre-ejaculate coming out, but I could've sworn there was a verse said from the woman's perspec...

Re: Putin on the Writs

Secretly altering voting records without anyone the wiser would require a level of skill, manpower, and coordination, that doesn't exist and likely never will. Unless one is a moderately competent hacker . Meanwhile, states such as Georgia -- which uses all-electronic voting machines with no paper ...

Re: Masculinity, so fragile

Much of the red pill/pua stuff snaps into focus when one replaces "women" with "women with lots of cluster B personality traits." When the guys engage in behavior specifically designed to attract those women, what a surprise, every woman they deal with is a borderline or narcissist. I wonder what t...

Baby. Crazy. Heh, "crazy" alone might explain it, without the "baby" modifier. More specifically, a weird form of quasi-solipsism: not that he thinks he's the only real person in the world, but where romantic or sexual relationships are concerned, he definitely has the attitude that his wants and n...

What bothers me is that I'm seeing a LOT of bitching a la "If Bert and Ernie are gay, that means Sesame Street is teaching kids about homosexual sex acts!" -- yet, obviously, they don't make the same complaints about married male/female human characters: "If Sesame Street has a married couple, that...

Ah, so, since there were mere "attempts," it's perfectly acceptable for states to refuse federal funding to secure the next election--and a sign of conspiratorial freakoutness to be concerned over this? In all seriousness, it seems like ever since Trump won the election, you've gone out of your way ...

Re: Petty annoyances

Jeff and I both forgot that, regarding our last DVD player, the specific reason we bought that model was because it could handle all DVD "codes" -- as in, you could watch American or British discs. Alas, our Blu-Ray does not, which I discovered last night when I tried watching a certain import.

Re: The son of "What the hell are YOU staring at?"

Red Hook Summer is hands-down the worst Spike Lee movie I've seen. Feels like two different movies mashed together into one -- with several key pages missing from the script of the first movie.
