Re: Marriage is Totally Gay

If religious cake guy is responsible for baking a cake for whoever enters the door, Alex Jones ought to sue Facebook and the other tech companies in Colorado for excluding him from their services.

Re: Marriage is Totally Gay

It sure is a shame there's only one cake baker in Colorado and everyone has to buy cakes from him or starve.

And what's up with the bizarre "in my voice" and "through my name" phrasings he uses? Is the guy actually fucking insane, or is this just another case of "how stupid people think smart people talk"?

Given the rate of women dying in childbirth, I would think most women would be pretty leery of peasant or hunter-gatherer times.

The holy days only meant no work for their lord, if I remember correctly. Those days were instead spent working to maintain crops for themselves.

Re: cars and how they get that way

I wish I could do unpleasant things to the team that designed the "safety" features in the Subaru Legacy. It is not possible to drive in traffic without all sorts of warning lights, incessant beeps, and the occasional braking from the car. I was a more dangerous driver than in my regular vehicle sin...

Phoenix uses lots of ramp metering. I'm not sure how much it helps.

Well that's just crap, as I'm anticipating being in the market for a new-to-me car in the next couple of years, and have always been a fan of used.
Also, the used market for trucks/Jeep Wranglers is particularly screwed up where I am. Your location might not be as bad, especially for cars.

Re: Music for the Masses

I've been convinced that this song was from Twin Peaks: The Return (that's meant as praise). I would've bet money on it. It is apparently not, but given the other crap I have to listen to in yoga, this one is an excellent departure from the norm.

Re: cars and how they get that way

The dealership where I get service done on my pickup and the dealership where I bought it have both contacted me multiple times to see if I want to sell my truck. In looking at used prices on their websites, I can see why. They are selling similar used trucks with more miles for more than I paid for...

Re: the list of those things which are not food

Based on the discussion in some other thread, I tried a chocolate moon pie after my hike today. Like more than a few junk food items, I'm baffled how it can have so much fat and sugar and yet taste like... nothing. Even cardboard might have more taste. If I'm going to have some junk food, I'll grab ...

I admit I use the term "airlock" as the entrance to my house from the driveway, even though it is technically a vestibule, because if we don't open/close one door at a time and one of our dogs gets through both, it's an hour-long chase through the neighborhood.

I occasionally forget that Tesla is a borderline scam since there are so many Model S sedans on the road here. If 50% of the US sales are California, Phoenix must make up about 35% of sales. If I'm out and about, I see many of them.
