I went to the ophthalmologist this morning (routine follow-up) and received the dilation drops.

My eyes are slowly returning to normal.

So I had an argument with my 'Homeopathic Practitioner' friend this evening who is, surprise, surprise, an anti-vaxxer.

The 130 people who died in the Philippines 'died of pneumonia and meningitis.'

Jussie Smollett, according to my new feed, wrote his buddies a check for the attack. You are hilariously bad at committing crimes if you are paying people by check. Did he ask for a receipt, too, do you think?
He's streisanding.

(Honestly, I'd never heard of him before this little foofahrah.

A side effect of this is that many things are designed to be made but not to be repaired or altered. For example, clothing is made without any seam allowance, so you can't let it out. Not sure if that is a design intent or more an outcome of computerized cutting to minimize the amount of material u...

Troy is pretty good if you allow for the fact that Brad Pitt was still learning how to act. First, god no. And B, Pitt had already starred in A River Runs Through It , Se7en , Seven Years in Tibet , Fight Club , and many others before he made Troy . Or wait, are you just Brad Pitt something somethi...

Re: Market Failure!

I just went to a Star*ucks for the first time in several years (I happened to meet a friend and Star*ucks was the only thing close.) I ordered a hot chocolate and a scone. The hot chocolate tasted like ersatz cocoa boiled 20 minutes in tap water. The scone tasted like and had the same texture as cha...

I’m kinda curious what happens if Trump-Russia is a bust, but it turns out that Trump-KSA is the real inappropriate influence area. Seems like a rich well to hit in a campaign.
Wasn't there a lot of talk about Saudi influence on the Clintons in 2016?

Mo: I don't think it is 'both-siding' when thoreau suggests that Blues will use Trump's precedent in the future.

I would not at all be surprised to see President Harris declare a "Climate Change SoE" or a "Poverty SoE".

I'm going to equivocate on the 'money' part: It has often been used as a proxy for "The Jews" in bigot-speak. In 1995, after the Parti Quebequois lost the referendum on Quebec separation, Jacques Parizeau, the PQ leader and then Prime Minister of Quebec, blamed the loss on "Money and the Ethnic" vot...

No, it's that I deplore the outsized influence of one particular lobby and one small country that can 'wag the dog' on the US. The Jordan River and Dead Sea are not the US border. No shit. I'd like to abandon them entirely. But that's just evading the question that you quoted. I think we can walk a...
