It took me three thread uodate reads to realize one of the names was the Secretary of Transportation, and not a misspelling of chaos.
Chaos the state of this administration, not an appointment.

Can we try putting jet fuel into Trump himself to see what happens?
What could possibly go wrong?
I'll go with "The End Of Space-Time as we Know It" for $800, Alex Warren.

Re: Inequality

Never mind that, every other generation turned out OK, so all those indicators that don't match the past are totally wrong. Since the industrial revolution, each successive generation has had problems previous generations did not. And, of course, they were doomed because 'things are different now.'

"rivaled only by" reads to me as "of approximately equal value". And even if they do value Easter over Christmas, papists are not representative of Xtians generally. Given that every candidate for Messiah in ancient Judea had a birthday, but only one had a rebirthday, I gotta think Easter is signif...

Re: Inequality

Bluntly, I think much of the whining from the college educated under-employed ('ceue's? pronounced cooeeyyy) is due to an assumption that their current circumstances will last, like, f - o - r - e - v - e - r - r - r - r . In reality, most of them will muddle through and, like prior generations, dis...

I also wonder if superhero fatigue is going to finally start setting in at some point. I don't plan on seeing every Marvel movie as they come out as I did a few years ago. I'll wait for the reviews and make a decision. And in most cases if I do decide I need to see it, I'm still waiting for blu-ray...

Shit. I can get 500 five-hundred milligram vitamin C pills and five kilos of sugar for that at the Great Satan Store Walmart.

A very liberal friend of mine has just posted a link to an item about a "Pet Psychic" who is going to appear on a news program tomorrow on the Global network. I knew my friend believed in that sort of crap, but I am very pissed with any network that presents this crap as 'news'. ('Global' is a small...

As part of the post-mortem lionization of GHWB, CNN published his successor letter to Clinton , making me wonder what Trump's letter will be like, if he even writes one. If Trump loses in 2020, the eleven weeks between the election and the inauguration of his successor are going to be epic Trumpism...

Chinese economists sound more on the ball than most American economists do: Not sure what you mean WRT to 'American economists'. The ones I've read agree that the Chinese 'Corporate State' is hurting Chinese growth and its people. They also say that a trade war is the wrong way to fix the problem.

The fact that this frightening and authoritarian impulse ridden story was the cover story of National Review, is more horrifying than Donald Trump in the White House. You've gotta admit, though, if you want your time in office to look like the Golden Age of America, you've just gotta do two things: 1) Follow George W. Bush. 2) Precede Donald Trump. The situation in Yemen seems to have become the latest foreign policy stick for Team Blue to berate Trump. A few of my leftier Facebook friends have been making noises about it. I really have to restrain myself to not point out that US troops were put there by Saint Barry.
