I'm not sure if I can even get to a theater to watch Black Panther given the torrent of progressive spooge all over the place.
The part of Black Panther that I am most looking forward to is where it is revealed that T'Challa is Rey's father.*

. . . even if it stars Jeffrey Tambor, who is now being airbrushed out of the promotional materials. That would be the best sick joke ever. One poster featuring him with the cast and the same one where he's been removed. https://twitter.com/tomgara/status/964334970352361472 Uncle Joe would be proud.

17-Year-Old Says 'I Could Buy an AR-15,' Gets Arrested

17-Year-Old Says 'I Could Buy an AR-15,' Gets Arrested "The offense is akin to joking about a bomb in the airport," Fagan said in her message. "One simply doesn't do it." No. It. Is. Fucking. Not. There is no context offered for the statement, but even if it was a joke about buying one, calling the...

The whole, is the dress blue or gold thing is getting ridiculous now. I do not know why Team Blue and the MSM thinks anybody besides themselves cares about Trump's affairs. As long as Trump's sex life is hetero, non-partisans are indifferent and Trumpers are cheering him on. I'm just waiting for so...

Re: I may want to see that?

WTF? Stalin wasn't some sort of military genius. The Russians defeated Hitler the same way the Russians have always defeated invading European armies. A combination of conscription, attrition, and that most devistating Russian defense weapon system; Winter. Exactly. As the saying goes "The Wehrmach...

Woo that guy murdered and starved and imprisoned a lot of people guys. He's at least the Dan Marino of totalitarian murderers and I give him no credit for intent. His inadvertent starvation is just as bad as his deliberate actions. If we are playing hypotheticals, does a hitler win preclude a stali...

There was a plot? :?

The draft dodging, weed smoking plus hiding affairs (making him vulnerable to blackmail) would have sunk WJC. The first two happened long enough before that they'd be quickly chalked up to being youthful indiscretions. The adultery, on the other hand, would have gotten him bounced. Not the fucking ...

I realize that 90% of my disdain of figure skating was my younger self not distinguishing it from ice dancing, which is largely a bullshit sport. Make it "Five a Side, Full Contact Ice Dancing" and I might watch. And the man in the back said, "Everyone attack!" And it turned into a ballroom blitz.....

How does the White House Counsel not yet have full clearance? Is there a scintilla of doubt in anybody's mind that if he wasn't actually the president, Trump couldn't get a hall pass let alone a security clearance? There was a scene in the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora" where the guy in charge of the Mag...

Re: I may want to see that?

Did you just compare Donald Trump to Joseph Stalin? Honestly, Warren, I didn't think of that implication until you pointed it out. That was not my intention. I was comparing a certain mindset of unquestioning reverence for a leader/nation that is intolerant of doubt or question. Jingoism is somewha...

I am looking forward to seeing The Death of Stalin when it releases in North America next month. I would like to try a mangosteen, after seeing Phil Rosenthal raving about them in the Bangkok episode of Somebody Feed Phil.
Are those the mangos that control the fruit world from behind the scenes?
You're thinking of the Mangonatti.

Something similar happened in Fargo when I was in college. A group of people wanted to rob a bank and knew that the alarm system for the bank was routed through a bundle of wires running under a bridge. The took a chainsaw to the whole bundle and cut a 2 foot section out. Not only did they take out...

In the category of "Fruits That Kill With Gravity" I really like jackfruit. It hits all of the right notes. Tropical, floral, texture is interesting but not slimy. Bonus: if you buy a whole one you can break out the machete to get into it. If you don't like juicy fruit gum this is not the fruit for...

The NYT is hiring a columnist who is friends with a Nazi. The Weapon is hiring Megan McCardle. Opinion pages should be eliminated.
I believe the internet is doing that by gradually destroying the fish wrap media.

OTOH, the internet appears to be an all-encompassing Op-ed universe.

There was once a proposal for a midtown airport, that would be built on top of existing buildings. Not on top of their demolished remains, but literally on top of them. https://untappedcities.com/2013/06/26/the-new-york-city-that-never-was-midtowns-dream-rooftop-airport/ It was tried back in Septem...

1) Home made jam. 2) Home made bread fresh from the oven.
