Re: You Learn Something New Every Day

I'm still stuck on the "presumably, when things had settled down and earth was again spinning normally" part. Did they think it would... just start spinning again on its own? Or was there supposed to be a second massive array of rocket engines pointed in the other direction to get it going again?

Re: Food

You've put the carrots in the wrong positions. You're never going to perfectly match the recipe card if you don't start paying attention to the details! Now fix the carrot placement, and then we'll give it a good coat of lacquer and let it dry overnight.

that is an unusually awful thing to say to someone else in public because you saw them in a movie.
Why? Is it a fine thing to say if you saw them in dinner theater?

What a cock. If you're going to ask a question, allow the person to answer the question, and then ask your next question in light of whatever the response actually was, rather than what you've previously decided the response is going to be.

I'm feeling pretty good about my odds, considering that I know nothing about basketball (these are basketball teams, right?).

I could have used this luck on the lottery, but nooooo... I had to waste it on this.

If Mueller's investigation gets too scary for Trump, and then Fox preempts Fox and Friends with a showing of "Wag the Dog," we're doomed.
