Those usually use the generic stock photos, often without the watermark removed.

Maybe a Trumpkin site is the local karaoke dive bar of dating sites?

Re: Orange is the new President

The writers for the 2018 season really need to be more subtle . I was a bit puzzled as to why those two would be their poster couple, anyway. Neither was even stock photography model-worthy. It seemed to send a "this is for people with low expectations" vibe. Not that there isn't potentially a mark...

I wonder how much his nostalgia for the radicals and queers of his youth is colored by ignorance of the policing that went on?

Though clearly not all movements self police equally. Social Justice is becoming (has become) Maoist-level.

Re: To Infinity War and Beyond: the MCU Thread with Spoilers

Note it says things like video games being mainstream, despite Nintendo, Sega and Sony making billions in the 80s and 90s. Well akshually...I think they're right. If you'd put that you were into Star Wars or video games on a dating profile as recently as 2008, you'd be the subject of mockery, pity,...

Re: To Infinity War and Beyond: the MCU Thread with Spoilers

The thing that strikes me as odd about this is that nerds in general got excited, at first, for their cultural icons hitting the mainstream without people, "Well actuallying" about Lou Ferrigno. Was there a huge number of press articles talking about how Ang Lee was the first person to ever bring T...

Re: To Infinity War and Beyond: the MCU Thread with Spoilers

Yeah, there’s any number of hyperbolic breathless paeans to both movies as the first of their kind and “everything” because apparently being a cultural critic doesn’t imply any work to become familiar with culture. With Wonder Woman it wasn’t just the first female superhero, she was the first female...

Ok, I saw it. I really, really liked it. Yeah, there were a few things I could nitpick, but it was a great super hero movie. But I don't get why liberals are spooging over it. The villain is into Black Power! He's even inspired by a father who practically recites a Ta-Nehisi Coates critique of Amer...

Doesn't the current evidence suggest it *doesn't* work for ducks? I thought it was more that they were locked in an evolutionary battle, much like the crazy alt universe guys on ST:TOS.
