Re: Worthwhile intertubez finds

Offices > full cubes > half cubes > open space > unassigned seating. I actually prefer pods with tall walls to individual cubicles, at least for my line of work. Half-height walls aren't worth anything, imo. Full cubes means walls you can't see over. Can't see over when sitting down or when standin...

I've only seen a few tweets and one or two longer pieces, and can't comment on what one would find going beyond that, but he seems to be the kind of guy who had some good ideas at one point but has been driven batshit insane by SJWs. This could be a skewed perspective.

I see your point about Franken and incentives, but as a dude working in academia there's no goddamn way I'm making that argument. If women want to make it, go for it. Hang on, because I'm not sure I understand. Am I to assume that you won't make an argument on a fairly obscure libertarian forum bec...

Re: Thanksgiving: the most delicious time of the year

I'm making my baked-but-not-in-a-turkey dressing. I need to re-check the recipe but it's kind of standard with Pepperidge Farms or Stove Top or some shit as the base, but with mire poix, cranberries, and apples. Probably also some Rhodes rolls because they're deliciously unhealthy when paired with t...

I am disgusted -- but sadly not-surprised -- by the self-described self-deluded so-called "feminists" defending Al Franken via smearing his accuser, solely because the accuser was a Playboy model. Or a gun-rights supporter. https://twitter.com/Belairviv/status/931385471187472385 (Molesting a "bespe...

I think the question is whether he can use the Grylliade site search function to search his catalog of PMs rather than searching forum posts. So not trying to find a keyword within a specific PM, but all PMs that contain said keyword.

Re: No touching! - sexual impropriety thread

I pointed out that the only difference between Moore's worst accusations and Clinton's was that Moore is accused of forcing the mouth of a resisting teenage girl onto his penis, while Clinton was accused of doing the same thing to an adult woman. I'd quibble with the idea that Clinton did the same ...

Also, while we're on the subject. it irks me no end the people that forget the rules. If your porch light is on, give out candy, you fucks. No candy? Turn the light off.
This is how it is done.

What is the argument for using coffee to deliver collagen? I ... I don't understand the point. I suppose if you want smoother coffee but don't want the fat and lactose of cream/half-and-half, and don't want the emulsified cornstarch slurry of 'fat free' 'half-and-half' or 'creamer', maybe collagen ...

A lot of places/people have either moved them to schools/churches for 'safety' and a lot of people have just stopped participating. We left our porch light off this year, although part of that was that we'd just gotten home from my mom's funeral the night before and were just not up to anything but ...

It's cute how people think America respects property rights. It's even cuter how they think they don't cheer for it 99.99% of the time.

Those clips always make me wonder whether it was really a bad thing that I drifted away from TV in the Aughts.
Almost none of Arrested Development works in context-free clips. They sometimes put bits of the setup for a joke into two or three episodes before the payoff.

As the average Boomer reaches 65, only our culture's obsession with youth (and the size of the Millennials) has saved us from a savage bombardment of movies about how people at or near retirement age have the most important life experiences. Sure about that? Seems like every year since the Bucket L...

Arrested Development did a lot of things that Sunny never tried. The sheer volume of visual gags that just hang in the background without anyone mentioning or acknowledging them is staggering. It's Edgar Wright level visual humor. The only live-action 22min sitcom to come close is Community. Before ...
