Ours was olive and khaki shag. Literally the least military thing in those colors ever. And that includes a dirty martini spilled on a pair of Dockers.

There was a time when 'wall to wall carpeting' was considered a feature, and some people just don't ever want their feet to touch anything hard.

To the point that some psychotic fuckers put installed carpeting in fucking bathrooms.

Re: Home $weet Home

I have minor hate for tv over fireplace. Too high. You should not visit casa de Pham right now. I'm not in charge of anything right now so it looks hideous. Depends on the room. My living room is long & narrow, so the only place for the TV is over the fireplace. We're sitting far enough away that t...

Most people are talking about the tv. Cooking while game is on etc. Grubhub and Pizzashanty.gov both have apps now, so all your cooking can be done from anywhere in the house now. Why don't you just live in a barn? Gameday cooking. perhaps it's just the ADD in me who would cause multiple fires if I...

Luckily, I live in an era where I can afford to be choosy -- heck, I don't even like the white-meat parts of the chicken. (I mean, I don't dislike white meat, but IMO it's dry and less flavorful than the thighs and drumsticks.) This is objective fact. (This isn't me being goofy. Those things are me...

Re: How's the weather? v. 1.1

This would be just for the duration of cooking/eating (the eating part to let it finish pulling out the moisture from boiling) so yeah you'd have to manually adjust the AC temp and then turn it off by hand, but if humidity is the problem that's a viable solution.

You could run your AC while it's cooking. Typical heatpump ACs dehumidify as a side effect.

When I get untethered, I tend to get to about a 3-4AM - 11-2PM cycle, which converges towards 3:30-11 if it stays long enough.
