Re: I may want to see that?

I liked Adaptation, if for nothing other than Chris Cooper's character. Has Chris Cooper ever been unwatchable in anything? Genuine question. He was annoying in something, but I can't remember what. Possibly because it was a left/Democrat morality play, but I can't recall which one. Not sure there,...

Theoretically I'm saving it up to binge it. Practically I may never get there.

Is it getting better or worse?

I have three vegan friends and a couple friends who've flirted with keto but not done it.

But the vegan friends are fine, although foreign travel with them is not recommended, although if they're willing to ignore things like fish sauce for the trip it gets easier.

It's cold! And fuckin gnarled out there. Snow event preceded by freezing drizzle that glazed everything in black ice. Went out last night to see what was what, and the driveway was damp but not glazed. Then I got a few feet further down and oh shot no I was wrong! Our driveway is steep enough that ...

Re: Spearfishing With Luke: The Last Jedi thread with spoilers!

FINALLY fucking saw it last night. I do wish that Johnson had hired someone to just work on plot a bit, because tighten that up, and the movie becomes much better. It's frustrating to realize that one of the plot lines is 100% bullshit that does NOTHING but get a few hundred people killed, and that ...

Revisiting Pilotwings on SNES. Always found it enjoyable but dammit, don't make me land in a crosswind if you're not going to give me proper control over *all* the control surfaces. Can't move the rudder independent of ailerons.

I would say that the worse infraction is that she then lived with the patient. That's a pretty big nono in the psych field, isn't it? A one-off thing seems forgivable. But to my layman's understanding, that shows a much more sustained ethical breach.

conservatism was always more or less a polite veneer on racism in the domestic sphere. I tend to agree, and it's from years of watching conservatives engage with libertarians. When conservatives speak/write for themselves, they couch everything in terms of social institutions and a law abiding soci...

After 7 years, I've gone back to clean-shaven. We'll see how long I can tolerate dealing with razors again. Are razors easier to deal with than Norelco? I saw a work van yesterday with this name on the side: "Mason's Plumbing." If I can't be that and be your son at the sam...
