Isn't that his Presidential Medal of Freedom? Though that was a bit of an epic troll by WJC.

I don't understand why Bob Dole got the Congressional Gold Medal. He doesn't strike me as a particularly notable figure.

Re: Browns give up, pay 16 million for Super Bowl Ring: NFL '17

I think the only benefit would be in a city like Miami, New Orleans, LA or, in the future, Vegas, where there are "distractions". The local team won't be as tempted by the lure of the local scene, which makes discipline easier. Seeing as we're talking about Minneapolis in February, distractions won'...

Re: Observations of the Random sort

Williams never complained publicly, people were upset on her behalf. Though I would totally get if she and the actors (all of whom also just collected SAG minimum) were upset at Wahlberg. Basically the complaint would be, "We all sucked it up to make sure everything got done and you're asking for ov...

I know, I was pointing out that weak leads is part of the deal with Star Wars.

The lead character could have used a little work
Name one Star Wars movie where that isn't true. Just needing "a little work" is a triumph relatively speaking.

True. They then saw that they didn't work, the cure was worse than the disease and changed their tune.

Agree because law enforcement DGAF and is on autopilot. But conservatives used to make fun of "root cause" analysis for inner city drug use, but now that it's the WWC, they're suddenly bleeding hearts.

Rogue One was good and original. I would rank it as slightly below Empire as #3 in the franchise.

Re: When journalism goes bad

I think you are confusing outcomes with motivations. For instance conservatives have supported the War on Drugs because they thought it would make society better not because they hate black people. If you ask its supporters they'll honestly claim it's helping black communities by keeping drugs off ...

Also, she's been nominated for 4 Oscars, including for Brokeback Mountain.

He is totally within his rights to use the Spacey situation to leverage a payday. Of course, as he discovered, it also leaves him open to a PR mess if it comes out later.

I think 'white middle class' includes going to church (not mosque or temple), eating American food (not curry and shit) and speaking exclusively unaccented (unless the accent is a local accent) English. Exactly. "Weird" looking people aren't that big a deal for most part if they have similar custom...

Link looks like one triology? Would a family need more than one account? Like could I use my wife's account like we share a prime account and add or remove books on my devices? One reason why two accounts may be useful is if you're listening to the same book but at a different pace. That way you ca...

The article's point is that people would be doing this on purpose, to make the cars stop for them, basically meatspace trolling, which is really really dumb. That's different from accidentally stepping out in front of a bus.

This is odd, in sports, agents act to equilibriate terms of deals all the time. The reason why Garoppolo left SF is because his agent couldn't get him what he wanted in NE and still treat Brady fairly.
