Re: I just don't get it

Speaking of, I heard a snippet of some hip hop track that sampled “21st Century Schizoid Man” the other day. Power by Kanye? Yep, that's it. And it caused Fripp to sue UMG, stop all musical work, and claim he was going into retirement. What a whiny bitch. If black people had invented cover songs in...

Interesting defense going with, "I don't know what is in this massive bill that I'm voting for," as a defense.

LEDs have pretty good spectrum coverage. Here's a comparison of a Philips incandescent vs. a Philips A19 LED. http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/files/imagecache/gallery_image_620/_images/201305/incandescent_-_2488k.jpg http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/files/imagecache/gallery_image_620/_images/201305...

You're thinking of Orkut. Friendster, IIRC, got really hot in SE Asia. Specifically the Philippines and Malaysia.

Re: Private Money!

Unlike traditional currencies, the switching costs of the reserve cryptocurrency of choice is pretty low. Much cheaper than switching it in the physical world. Irrelevant. No matter the cost, there is disincentive to switch because BTC is already accepted everywhere. And Myspace was the social medi...

Thank god this group is so dumb. I love how they’re shocked that the GSA would hand emails over to law enforcement. Who expects privacy on a .gov email address?

Economic anxiety and mild nationalism at its best. Glad that Classical won.

What an odd way to clean yourself. Sounds counter-productive. And very unpleasant.
Doesn't seem strange at all. Urine is sterile and has ammonia. Ammonia is frequently used as a cleaner.

Re: Observations of the Random sort

I was joking. Like I agree on endless war, disagree on nationalism, immigration and free trade. It's like being lectured by Brits or Europeans about American racism and also being told, "You don't look like an American."

Also, part of the reason why we have a lottery immigration system is that for the most part it has historically worked. We don't need to split our immigration system into charity cases and skimming off third world elites. We can take randos from anywhere and they'll be pretty well integrated into so...

Net Neutrality

This is where two 800 pound gorillas fighting each other pays off. Its not like the content providers aren’t also large donors. And one side has a product that people choose to use and the other has a product that you’re forced to use.
