Re: Petty annoyances

If you dissolve borax and sugar in some water and then soak some cotton balls in it, you can leave the balls in milk caps or bottle caps and it will solve your problem.

Trump: "I met with the president of the Virgin Islands"

\facepalm

Also, love how Minitruth the White House press office 'corrected' the transcript.

Depends on the industry. For example Vornado has long term debt equal to 400% of annual revenue and total liabilities of 500% annual revenue. While Alphabet has long term debt equal to about 5% of revenue and total liabilities at about 18% of revenue.

And looking at it, they're not even T mobile as that is just the straight up Deutsche Telekom logo.

Re: There must be a pony in here somewhere.

Why has no one brought up that now what will happen is that the insurance companies will sue the government for money that the law says the government is obligated to pay. Everyone focuses on the fact that Obama was broke the law by distributing unappropriated funds, but similarly, Congress broke th...

Ah, Mark " Obama is unelectable " Penn with some stellar analysis. I guess now he knows why Obama was popular. Also, his point about the NFL protests fails to point out that kneeling for the flag protest became more popular due to Trump. I felt his point was more it's not affecting his polling with...

Re: Pleading the 25th

Remember, Americans liked President Obama for his way with words and his calm leadership style. They just opposed many of his policies, so Obama’s numbers gave a false sense of approval. Trump is the mirror opposite. People are put on edge by his words while favoring a lot of the positions he is ta...

IIRC, a longer video shows him going after some of them before he got surrounded and the tables turned. Doesn't make what happened to him justified, but it may be a case of everybody involved committed felonies. Seems like arresting/charging the dude is the job of the local DA or police rather than...

Re: Nobel in economics for bashing homo economicus

There is iirc a commission if you "buy" a number after the come out roll (which ex-commsion, gives you those same balanced odds. But again iirc) That's correct, but even that commission ranges from 0.4% to 1.5% per bet, which is still much better odds than you'll find anywhere in the house excludin...

Re: Nobel in economics for bashing homo economicus

IIRC, there are even odds bets in Craps, but there's a house commission if you just bet on those? Nope, no commission on the odds bets. The way it works is this. You place a bet on the pass line. You roll a 4-6 or 8-10. Let's say you roll a 4. You can then place a bet with odds on that bet. Standar...

Re: Nobel in economics for bashing homo economicus

But it's still pretty much entirely random, right? No skill can improve your odds. Right. But it's fun. All money played behind the line is pure odds, (so the more multiple allowed, the better) but the house advantage is baked into the pass/don't pass lines Right. House advantage on pass is ~1%. Th...

The whole concept of organized gambling depends on people not behaving rationally.
Depends on the game. Craps and roulette, yes. Poker, not so much.
Craps has the best odds in the house. It's the only game where you can get even odds.

You guys joke, but the religion thing is ridiculous because a corporation can't have a religion. However, the government can't restrict rights that corporations can engage in, like press or speech.

How does this apply only to liberals? Bill O'Reilly has been doing it for years.
It doesn't. He calls out O'Reilly farther down.
So then he contradicts himself in his own column? Even better.

Aw fuck. You just have to do that don't you. Take a perfectly good turn of phrase and just make it meaningless so we have to come up with another turn of phrase to describe the peculiar gnashing of teeth in response to Trump. I was using it that way when it became clear that Randroid had become a d...
