I could totally sign up to a “no abortions after brain waves (~20 weeks) detected except for life/health of the mother and severe abnormalities in the child” if it would lead to the end of this stupid debate.
I'd need free contraceptives added, but I'd take it otherwise.

I could totally sign up to a “no abortions after brain waves (~20 weeks) detected except for life/health of the mother and severe abnormalities in the child” if it would lead to the end of this stupid debate. Pro lifers won’t take the health of the mother/abnormalities bit and pro choicers want rape...

Also, because of Ben Carson, should we retire the phrase, “It’s not brain surgery”?

Re: The Abortion Thread

So one of the serious pro lifers at NR posted a link to the Florida abortion stats to show that pro-choicers lie and that most abortions are for “frivolous” (her words) reasons. Except that it shows that all (both) late term abortions were for either life threatening reasons or severe genetic abnorm...

Just tell me, pro-life "libertarians": is this rash of state laws what you want this country to be? Is forcing that 11-year-old to bear her rapist's offspring a proper use of state power, in your view? And they would say, would you allow that same woman to kill her rapist's offspring if the child w...

Oh look, Rahm Emmanuel joined the Atlantic and is writing about how the Democrats are the party of elites and need to focus on “justice”. Ctrl-F “Laquan” Ctrl-F “McDonald”. Hmmm zero hits.

Re: Inequality

The use of "vice signalling" I've seen has a slightly different flavor. It's basically the argument that liberal people engage in displays of caring and so forth that signal their good standing to their group - we call that virtue signalling, but other people play the bad guys in outrage culture, c...

This chart seems to cut against the CDC data on vaccination rates being flat for the last 2 decades. It's one state, but it's a biggie.

Holier-than-thou progressives want me to support a program that will eventually lead to them guillotining each other? Where do I send the donations? The problem is that they involve lots of other people before getting to each other. But yeah, I think Julian Sanchez called it; it's a lame form of ed...

Now MO is making all abortion illegal and no rape or incest exemptions. If the Blues were smart, they would lay off abortion laws and make 2020 a referendum on making abortion illegal everywhere all the time.

As someone who loves unfettered executive power and a factoid that is pretty easily quantifiable and not opinion based, I'd expect this to be pretty accurate.

The case for the Empire was originally in the Weekly Standard. I know, you're shocked that that publication would support a militarily aggressive power with little concern for collateral damage.

According to John Yoo, Trump has declared more national emergencies is 2 years than any president, aside from Lincoln, has declared in their entire presidencies. Lincoln, it’s fair to say, had a real national emergency that he was dealing with.

Well, I guess War with Iran is the 2020 re-election strategy. Amazing how the “don’t trust anonymous sources” crowd is all in on one random DC anonymous source that admitted didn’t have direct info, but yet firmly blamed Iran for attacking the oil tankers.
