Re: The Sheriff Joe Arpaio Memorial Prison Reform Thread

Not trying to make excuses for the treatment she received in jail, just trying to make excuses for the system that railroaded her there in the first place. If you say so. Courts require some means of enforcing their orders. As I said, I didn't rtfa and still haven't, but if a court says do X or you...

No the worst is dreaming you're at work, then the alarm goes off you wake up, first to the relief that it was only a dream, and then to realize that you have to go to work and you're not getting paid for the shift you just pulled. Not even the overtime.

Interesting test of what show claims to be vs what it actually is - thematically speaking. It claims to be a thing about breaking the wheel vs taking it all and damn the costs. I stopped watching because I came to believe what it actually is is a complex tapestry to set up nut punchy meat grinder e...

There are probably still some good reasons to keep some threads behind the veil, but I'm thinking keeping prying government eyes away ain't one of them and hasn't been for a long time now.

Andrew Sullivan is quite the catch for the 5thC, but his was a very boring episode. They spent half the time talking about teh gayz. And then at the end about Roman Catholic Church. Two topics I've heard all I ever care to already. The immigration bit in the middle wasn't bad.
