Re: Orange is the new President

Fucking lifers. If he thinks even half of the soldiers out there joined to "protect our country" he is delusional. Some want college funds. Some need the money because they knocked up their girlfriend. Some like the respect the uniform brings them. Some want glory. And some just want to kill other h...

We're talking about 100+ cookies for a week . Are YOU the Cookie Monster? It's a diet thing. Oats are one of the few things that don't turn my intestines into pain. Making it into cookies makes it easier to manipulate portion sizes and I don't have to find a microwave or stove to cook up a ...

Re: Food

Does anyone have any experience with vacuum sealing baked goods, specifically cookies? Currently the cookies I make only last a week before they start getting hard and stale even when kept in a sealed Tupperware bin. So this means I need to make a batch every week. Ideally I would like to make a ba...

Re: GET OFF MY LAWN!

I referenced this is another thread, but why is everything so damn loud and mushed together in TV and movies? Making the dialog the quietest part of a show is not a good way to get me to watch more. A lot of the time this is an artifact of the 5.1 surround mixing. They put all of the dialogue in th...

Saw the new Blade Runner. Like everyone else I really enjoyed it. I thought they did some smart stuff with the story. The visuals were fantastic. I also dug the soundtrack. It's like Vangelis but after the messy divorce and strung out on painkillers.

Re: Pleading the 25th

IIRC in Nazi Germany before the war there were labor camps that were used to build various infrastructure projects like the autobahn. The conditions for many of these were terrible. Yet some of those who were in the camp actually wrote letters to Hitler trying to alert him to the horrible conditions...

Re: Pleading the 25th

Ah, Mark " Obama is unelectable " Penn with some stellar analysis. I guess now he knows why Obama was popular. Also, his point about the NFL protests fails to point out that kneeling for the flag protest became more popular due to Trump. I felt his point was more it's not affecting his polling with...

Re: Pleading the 25th

Remember, Americans liked President Obama for his way with words and his calm leadership style. They just opposed many of his policies, so Obama’s numbers gave a false sense of approval. Trump is the mirror opposite. People are put on edge by his words while favoring a lot of the positions he is ta...

Are these the same moderate Republicans who were going to keep Trump from the White House? Well, in the primary, they were split too many ways to get the early momentum. If Kasich and others had dropped out earlier, we might have either a president Cruz or president Hdawg. Not happy with either opt...

Sing it brother!

Seriously this is easily the worst thing about the insurance/provider partnership to me. If I ask for a price for something I don't want to hear it costs somewhere between $50 and $750. That's not something I can realistically plan for.

As a lifelong Louisville fan I can tell you this sucks immensely. I always knew Pitino was a bit slimy but not anymore than most other big school coaches. Evidently David S. Goyer is going to write or direct the new He-Man movie. A He-Man movie is a bad idea anyways, but a grimdark He-Man will be legendarily bad. Since you put this in the "I wanna see that" thread I am guessing that you are holding out hope that it will be legendarily bad in the iron...
