Iran is much closer to liberalizing and the threat of shutting off western universities to Saudi elites is enough to keep them more in line. Also, Iranian scientists are bet...

Wait, Heidi Cruz actually voted for Donald Trump?! Trumpalos be cray cray.
The judgment of anyone who would marry Ted Cruz is inherently suspect.
True.
P sure marrying Ted Cruz takes you past suspicion and into proof territory.

Re: Our Friends, The House of Saud

I'm trying to decide whether I should re-email the running clothes company I've been boycotted ever since they partnered with a Saudi collaborator and ask if they feel bad about that yet. They never responded to my first email and yes I'm still mad.

How many people that are not extremely online or in MA picked that up?
The story overall? I had a work dinner on Monday night with non-online (and non-MA) people and they were all talking about it.

Wedges being in makes me want to stab people (with the heel of a real shoe).

By the way, I really really really appreciate everyone's ideas and input! It is meaningful to me that you're giving your time to this problem. And your solutions are all really good for normal people with normal furniture. I hope I'm not coming off like a dour, resentful naysayer when I explain why...

Re: Home $weet Home

Since you don't like the idea of having seating in the middle of the room where people would walk behind you, what about having the TV as the divider instead? Because I agree that it seems like the TV is too far away from the left-most wall where the bed is. I'm wondering if you could compress that ...

It wasn't that funny, sadly -- the naked man modeling was funnier. There's an indie dyer that has a bit of a cult following and as they've expanded their business and quality control has suffered, folks have talked about it on Ravelry and their fangirls have "tattled" on us to their customer service...

Uber says it plans to spend money lobbying for congestion pricing in Seattle as part of a $10 million push for “sustainable mobility” policies in various cities. The ride-hail app company and its rival, Lyft, have previously expressed support for the idea of tolling downtown streets in Seattle, whe...
