Re: Ragequits

I can't really think of any video games I've ragequit, surprisingly. I did once ragequit a game of Upwords with my sister though, because she was cheating, and I've never played a game of any kind with her in...must be like 17 years now.

Re: OFFS: The Forsakening

We Work will no longer allow you to expense any meals containing red meat, poultry, or pork. I first heard this story as a thing about their cafeteria, but it actually extends apparently to their expense policies, which takes a whtevs and turns it into OFFS. https://www.foodandwine.com/news/wework-...

Re: Orange is the new President

It's all good, guys, Trump misspoke yesterday. He meant to say there was no reason it would NOT have been Russia! (But also, it may have been someone else, because there are a lot of people out there.)

Re: Orange is the new President

It seems like I've seen a lot of pearl-clutching from Trump haters, though. Unless I'm just noticing that more because it's on the brain, when really it's just one in an endless series of their pearl clutches for the week. I think it's because actually experiencing things like that press conference...

I'm also pretty sure there's more than one type of perching bird in the US. But I mean, I'm no ornithologist.

Re: Rand Paul.....sigh.

Just pathetic excuse-making for Trump this morning. Even though he says he agrees that the Russians did try to meddle! But they were just revealing “uncomfortable truths” about Hillary, so they’re really the heroes of this story, and we meddle in elections all the time so it’s not really a big deal,...

I fear you may be right, Highway and lunchstealer. And that is depressing.

I am going to be watching 538 closely for the next couple of days for any sign of a dip in his approval.
That and the H&R comments section.

Watching him live rn on Wolf Blitzer. This is shameful. A low point. I’ve been shaking my head for what feels like ten minutes. Sad!

Re: Occam, Trump, and Russia

That presser was extremely fucked up. My favorite part was when Putin was like, "Well, first of all, I used to be an intelligence agent, so I know how dossiers are made." Narrowly beat out "Bill Browder's friends gave Hillary $400 million so we're really interested in getting to the bottom of this t...

Fucking dog racists in the UK. Pits are “banned breeds”. Thankfully for the paperwork, she’s a hound mix, which is in about 40% of her old papers.

IDK peyote, I'm a lysergic kind of fellow. I'm reading increasingly good things about psylocibin as well, especially for smoking cessation. Very pro-psilocybin. I basically think everyone should take it once every couple years. EconTalk had Michael Pollan on just a couple weeks ago to talk about hi...

Re: Random Observations C.A (306 pages is enough)

I have never heard of a Funny Bone until your post! Someone sent us an assortment of fancy cupcakes the other week when we got married, and one of them was this amazing choco-PB concoction, and I said "it tastes just like a really amazing Funny Bone" and dubs had never heard of them either! My gran...

So he's moved on from complaining other NATO members don't spend 2% of GDP on defense to advocating an increase in the target to 4% of GDP. Great.

Re: Twitter!

For some reason I listened to Elizabeth Breunig on a podcast today. Jesus Christ, she has combined socialism and catholicism to synthesize some kind of extremely retarded "Maximum Pro-Life" philosophy whereby everyone on the planet should have as many babies as they want, and the rich people should...

Holy crap, my alderman actually got the parks people to NOT destroy a huge field by putting an unnecessary new path through it! I always felt like the way to handle path/paving was to take whatever thing you're building, let people walk on the grass to get to it for a month, and then pave the paths...
