Earthquakes that knock breakable shit off the shelves. Been cleaning glass all morning.
Glad you're okay though. Also isn't all your "glass" just technically frozen water?
No, no. Occasionally we freeze other clear things too!

Re: Vote or Die

The Republican majority in the Alaska state house hinges on a single vote. Right now it's a tie, one suspicious ballot and a likely recount in the future lie between the Repub majority and a 50/50 split. Liberty loses either way.

Grilled a ribeye steak and had it with a spinach salad and Templeton Rye and refreshing mexican-style lager. Wife is out of town so I finally had a chance to properly binge Rick and Morty season 3 that showed up on Hulu a while ago.
Properly done sir.

You guys drink WAY above my class. Not to go all VALUE (talkin' bout you JasonL, just sayin') but $25 to $35 will almost never disappoint. You got to wade through the sub $20 stuff to find something amazing. And anything above $35 will probably not taste any better than the $25-$35 line of stuff yo...

I found the answer to "but who will build muh roads?!" In 1915 a successful San Diego businessman, determined for the city to not be left behind after Los Angeles was selected as the terminus of the Transcontiental Railroad, built a 6 mile long wood plank road across shifting sand dunes to create a ...

Talked with Dad a couple of weeks back. "We're not doing Thanksgiving this year. Also since your brother will be here in January we'll just do Christmas then." Okay fine. This past Sunday we are doing shopping for Thanksgiving for the two of us. Small turkey, some quince for a cake and some local fi...

Dude, is it just me, or does anyone else think it's strange that apparent sleazeball and Enemy of my Enemy, Michael Avenatti, appears to have several legal issues of his own so suddenly after the midterms?
I think strange would have been just prior to the midterms.

Getting back to the meat (har, har) of this tangent, tonkotsu is a sublime dish. I've only had it prepared professionally once but it was 1000 times better than anything I could do in my kitchen.

William Goldman , 87, R.I.P. Winning is a better credential than a loss, but it doesn't say much more about how good you are as a candidate. Winning by half a point and losing by half a point carry basically the same information about your quality as a candidate from a statistical point of view. (I'd say the same thing about G...

I hate November. In the last week we've gone from low single digits to freezing rain to 50F with all snow melted and now settling back down to a more seasonable mid 20s range. Once we freeze solid life gets so much easier.

I know I've mentioned this somewhere before but I make a point of voting just to keep the Libertarian spot on the ballot. We have some rule here where the party has to have either 3% of the registered voter base or obtain 3% in the last general state election. Since this is a gubernatorial election ...
