Team Eric/Warren, with the caveat that I'm somewhat worried about GOP dirty tricks independent of whatever the Trump White House can manage to do.

You should watch The Twilight Samurai, it'll give any other Japanese samurai movie a run for its money.

Re: The Techno-Bleg Thread

Windows 10 is fine unless you have a very specific reason it won't work. Also, it will be difficult to get windows 7 working properly on new hardware and Microsoft will be up your ass trying to trick you/force you to update to 10 anyway.

PCpartpicker.com is a good start to comparing parts and creating a list. You should double check before purchasing, but the site will show you prices from Amazon, NewEgg, etc side by side. Even if you are buying a new monitor and all the peripherals, 3k is way more than you need to spend. For new fe...

Compound bows are great for hunting because you can hold the draw a long time, but for fun I think a modern recurve bow is where it's at.

Also, because there are one or two people here who might care, she designed both type faces in that doc (not for the occasion, but in a professional capacity).

Also also, heh heh cornhole.

Fwiw my fiancee has received two mail in ballots, one from our current state, over from her former state of residence, addressed to her deceased husband, who has been dead for three years.

Re: How's the weather? v. 1.1

NH has had only about 5 inches of rain this summer, and the well at the family house has run dry this weekend. Both the small stream and the larger brook on the property are dry as well, meaning that there isn't any groundwater left in the ridge above the house. Nothing to do for my sister's family ...

In Turkiye, 'am' means 'cunt', so anglos need to very carefully say 'ah' as a filler word instead.

Class oriented critiques rather than race essentialism. Some post modern derived stuff, which I have been guilty of misunderstanding in the past, I think. I'm not on board yet, but the OG PoMo angles are less screwy than I used to think, if you accept a lot of their premises I've realized that I id...

Re: Podcasts - Watcha listening to?

Slavoj Zizek has many hours of lectures on a podcast, and I'm enjoying the first one. Not to be entirely dismissive of Zizek, because his vita and nonacademic career has certainly been impressive and colorful, but I start with the fact that the man is, indeed, a Marxist (he say "of a sort" but I th...

Re: Podcasts - Watcha listening to?

Slavoj Zizek has many hours of lectures on a podcast, and I'm enjoying the first one. Red Scare continues to be fun, and a useful window into Left (not progressive/liberal) views on contemporary politics in a way that I hated when I tried Chapo. I don't know if I could deal with Nice White Parents a...

Made it through one and a half episodes of HBO’s Perry Mason adaptation - a dull, artless, snooze. So slow. TV is so bad now. You're so, so wrong about that show. Well, not about the pace in the early episodes, but otherwise wrong. It looks like every other generic "dark" TV show of the last 10 yea...

Re: Music for the Masses

I don't dislike Collins' music. The songs he's best known for are way overproduced, typical for that era, but I don't grimace if one pops up on the radio. Oh yeah, and I haven't watched the video and probably won't. It's mildly cute. From a channel by a couple of kids who had their hearing surgical...
